Fees

At Caloundra Psychology Services, we believe that psychological services should be accessible to all. Investing in your mental health can have a significant impact on your well-being and quality of life. While we are not a bulk billing practice, if finances are a significant barrier please discuss your payment concerns with your psychologist.

All fees are payable on the day of service.

Mental Health Treatment Plan

If your GP, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician has referred you on a Mental Health Treatment Plan, you may be eligible for a Medicare Rebate. If you are eligible for a Mental Health Treatment Plan you can receive a Medicare Rebate for up to 10 psychology sessions per calendar year for either individual or group sessions. A brief progress report must be provided to your referring practitioner for you to be able to obtain sessions.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on your Private Health Insurance, you may be eligible for a rebate for psychological services. However, this cannot be used in addition to Medicare. You will need to contact your health insurer to establish whether you are eligible for a rebate and any your gap fees.

Please note Late Cancellation Fees will apply to all bookings. *Please note that clients seeing our provisional psychologists will not be able to claim their services through a Mental Health Care Plan or Private Health Insurance.
Assessments *Please note a non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to book cognitive assessments. This will then be taken off the overall fee.

Payment Options

Registering your details online with Caloundra Psychology Services makes it easier for you to claim rebates. Eftpos and bank deposit is also available, however, you will need to access your Medicare rebate either in person or online if you choose these options.

Our Cancellation Policy

We request that you cancel your appointment as soon as you are aware that you will not be able to attend your session. You can do this either by SMS or phoning the practice on 0423 355 562. We require that you contact us a minimum of 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment to avoid a cancellation fee.

We value your appointments and will prepare according to your treatment plan. Late cancellations cause loss to:
• You, as your therapy progress is delayed,
• Clients who have been waiting to see the psychologist, sometimes urgently,
• The psychologist who spent time preparing for your session.

We understand that there may be times you may not be able to attend an appointment due to an emergency or illness. If this does happen, please contact us as soon as possible to let us know. We may request relevant documentation to be able to waive any relevant fees.

Cancellation Fees

You will be charged the following fee for your session if you cancel with less than 48 hours notice or don’t attend for an appointment;

3 business days’ notice	No cancellation fee
Less than 2 business days’ notice	$100
Less than 1 business days’ notice or failing to attend scheduled appointment.	Full fee applies

We will be unable to schedule any future appointments until this fee has been paid.
